Parents, do you know…
- How many teens start using prescription drugs EVERY DAY in the United States for non-medical needs?
- What is the “drug of choice” for 3rd – 5th graders?
- What do a toilet paper roll and a dryer sheet have to do with drug use?
Find out the answers to these questions and more by attending the “Drugs 101: What Parents Want to Know” program on May 1st at 6:30 in the Karl Richter Campus Auditorium. A highlight of this program is a mock teenager’s bedroom set up for adults to observe and attempt to identify the obvious and not-so-obvious drug related paraphernalia. You will also learn facts about trends in teen alcohol and drug use, tools to identify potential teen alcohol and drug use and skills to engage kids in conversations. This program is for adults only and is free of charge. Child care will be available. Registration is appreciated, but not required to attend: 248-328-3135.
