CHOICES PROGRAM

The Choices program is a free after school program for 4th - 5th and 6-8th grade students in the Holly area. Choices uses the Nationally recognized curriculum, Botvin Lifeskills. It is a character building class that helps build positive traits in the students that they can use in everyday life.

Choices uses the Nationally recognized curriculum, Botvin Lifeskills in an after school setting. It is a character building class that helps build positive traits in the students that they can use in everyday life. In the time that we are with the students we like to have fun, provide a snack, and play games. We teach the lesson through interaction and games that help bring home the message we are conveying. Students receive a workbook, a certificate of completion, a t-shirt and other giveaways for completing the class.

  • ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASS

    The Elementary class (4th and 5th) consists of 9 sessions about self-esteem, making decisions, advertising, dealing with stress, communication skills, social skills, assertiveness and also the dangers of tobacco use. It is offered at every elementary school in Holly at various times throughout the school year.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASS

    The Middle School class (6th -8th grade) consists of 16 sessions dealing with self-image, making decisions, advertising, coping with anxiety, coping with anger, communication skills, assertiveness, resolving conflicts and the dangers of youth use of tobacco, alcohol, prescription drugs and marijuana.
